At CARE USA, onboarding is viewed as the overall integration of a new employee with CARE and our culture. This includes becoming familiar with the various tools and information needed to be a productive contributor, as well as meeting colleagues and establishing connections. For us onboarding is a comprehensive process that can last anywhere from 30 to 90 days. This page will be a useful resource to you as you are integrated into your role.

Orientation

Orientation is the first step to beginning your journey with CARE. You have been automatically enrolled in the CARE USA Orientation Program, as completion of the program is required by all domestic CARE USA employees within 30 days of hire. This program consists of various online modules, as well as an in-person or virtual orientation held the second Tuesday of each month. You have been automatically enrolled in this program, as completion of the program is required by all domestic CARE USA employees within 30 days of hire.

To get started simply:

  1. Go to careacademy.org
  2. Click Login to Learn
  3. Login using the login information you received via email

Once you have logged in you will be taken to your Learning Home Page. Under your Enrollments you will see the CARE USA Orientation Program.  Click Knowledge Center to open the program. From there you will see the entire program and each of the learning modules required to be completed. We recommend taking the modules in the order that they appear. Simply click Launch to start a module.

If you have not received access to CARE Academy, email academy@care.org with your CARE email address. In the mean time, click here to get started on Part 1 of Orientation.

Forms

The employee registration process begins with forms. All forms (except benefits enrollment) must be received by the HR Service Center (hrservicecenter@care.org) at least 5 days before your start date or no later than your first day of work. Delays in receiving forms may result in late payment, delayed system access, delayed activation of benefits, and possibly being unable to work.
