At CARE USA, onboarding is viewed as the overall integration of a new employee with CARE and our culture. This includes becoming familiar with the various tools and information needed to be a productive contributor, as well as meeting colleagues and establishing connections. For us onboarding is a comprehensive process that can last anywhere from 30 to 90 days. This page will be a useful resource to you as you are integrated into your role.
Orientation is the first step to beginning your journey with CARE. In order to ensure that you have a successful onboarding process, we have divided orientation into three parts.
Part I: The Basics is an introduction to the logistics of being a CARE employee, including your benefits and necessary paperwork. This course must be completed prior to your first day. Click here to get started!
Part II: The Organization is an in-depth course designed to offer a complete 360-degree perspective of CARE USA as an organization. This course offers a more in-depth look into CARE USA’s history, structure, and programming.
For US-based new hires this course takes place every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:30 AM (EST) in our Atlanta, Georgia Headquarters office you can attend in person or via Telepresence. Click here to enroll. All other staff, please ask your local HR colleagues about your in-house orientation.

Part III: Required Courses consists of basic courses that are required for all CARE USA employees. You have 30 days from your date of hire to complete these courses on CARE Academy. Click here to get started!
The employee registration process begins with forms. All forms (except benefits enrollment) must be received by the HR Service Center (email@example.com) at least 5 days before your start date or no later than your first day of work. Delays in receiving forms may result in late payment, delayed system access, delayed activation of benefits, and possibly being unable to work.

How do I register for CARE Academy?
Click here to register for access to CARE Academy. Simply complete the form using your CARE email and click submit. You will receive an email within a week of registering. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact email@example.com.
When will I receive my CARE Network Login?
Once you have submitted all the necessary employment paperwork, you will be registered in our system within 1-2 weeks. If you have additional questions or concerns, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is the benefit enrollment process?
During any enrollment opportunity (e.g., onboarding, life event, annual open enrollment) you can complete and submit the Benefits Enrollment Form to the email@example.com. Elections will then be processed and benefits will become active within 1-2 weeks of enrollment. Once active, you will be able to access claim information and print temporary ID cards online. You will receive insurance cards by mail within 3-5 weeks.
When is the in-person Orientation Part II: The Organization and how do I sign up?

Once you have access to Employee Self Service you can find your Employee ID Number by clicking on Employment and then Job Profile.
