Humanitarian Training of Trainers – CARE INT

May 7, 2018 - May 11, 2018

Free

The purpose of the course is to help CARE deliver aid to more women, men, boys and girls affected by crisis, faster. Specifically, CARE plans to decrease the number of staff with skills gaps in priority areas, through staff trainers delivering good quality training. CARE has identified some priority skills gaps, based on a wide-ranging learning needs analysis.

Program Objectives:

  • Increased impact of your training
  • Access to more tools and different training skills
  • Increased confidence
  • Understanding of the learning process – from needs identification through design, delivery and evaluation
  • Specific feedback on your training
  • Ability to consider a range of approaches to improve skills

Acceptance into this course is dependent on your application. To begin the application process, click enroll. Once you have enrolled you will receive an email and link with the official Google application.

Recommended for:

  • CARE staff who regularly deliver training to CARE staff and partners in humanitarian contexts.
  • CARE staff able to train others in English (as well as other languages). This is a practical course that will require you to demonstrate training in English (so that you can get helpful feedback).

Acceptance into this course is dependent on your application.  Special priority will be given to:

  • Those with particular skills in or focus on the LNA priority areas (see footnote and link)
  • Women
  • Those likely to train people not based in member, regional or COHQ offices (i.e. field offices, sub-offices etc.). This is based on a desire to increase training opportunities for those closer to the delivery of assistance.
  • Those planned to be involved in a specific (humanitarian) skills development programme.
  • Those who can train in other main working languages too (French, Spanish, Arabic, others)

Attendance: In-person

Course(s) language delivery: English (Note: As part of the course you will be expected to lead short training sessions in English. You do not need to be a perfect English speaker.)
